Cloisonne Enamel Workshops

I have been teaching workshops in cloisonne and champleve enamelling for more than 20 years.

I have conducted classes in most states of Australia and have also taught workshops for members of the US Enamelist Society and for the German Enamel Guild. In 1990 I was invited to participate in an international enamel symposium in the Soviet Union. I have also given addresses at international enamelling conferences in the United States and Britain.

For the past ten years I have conducted 2 week residential workshops as part of the McGregor Summer Schools programme at the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba. I have also taught workshops for Enmore College of Design and Technology in Sydney, Queensland College of Art Brisbane, Coffs Harbour Lapidary Club, Roma Jewellers Group, and The Silver Studio in Sydney.

Participants in my workshops receive tuition in all stages of cloisonne enamelling on fine silver, including designing with line and colour, preparation of metal, preparation and wet-laying of the enamel, and firing and finishing techniques. The workshops are suited to both the beginner and experienced enameller.

Monday 4 and Tues 5th February 2008 - Cloisonne Enamelling.

This workshop is suited to both the beginner and experienced enameller.

Thursday 7 and Friday 8th February - Champleve Enamelling.

It is preferable that those enrolling for the Champleve Enamel workshop will have done a Cloisonne Enamel class with me previously. Students will also need to have some experience with jewellery soldering.
